Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano flew to The Netherlands and filed a complaint to the International Criminal Court against the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo R. Duterte. This was a supplementary complaint to the first case filed by Atty. Jude Sabio.
Netizen Mai Laborde posted in her Facebook account her comment for the two legislators. “Eto na naman sila! Instead of working for the Filipino people; these two are creating nothing, but, CHAOS! Trying their very best to put down someone who only wants the best for the Philippines! You cannot stamp out President Rody Duterte! You will never succeed!”, said Laborde.
“Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano said that it was time for the international tribunal to meddle and prosecute President Duterte in his bloody campaign against illegal drugs after government has shown no interest to make the Chief Executive accountable for his alleged crimes against humanity,” she added.
The complaint filed in the ICC is to counter the failed impeachment complaint filed by Alejano to the House Committee on Justice before. The said complaint was junked in the committee due to lack of substance.
