President Duterte on top of Marawi crisis even on 'stealth mode'



President Duterte guides the military as he went in ‘stealth mode’
Despite of being out on formal occasions, President Rodrigo Duterte lead the top officials of the military on the operations against the ISIS in Marawi, Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla Jr. said.

In the press update last Friday, Brig. Gen. Padilla said that the President continued guidance on the top officials and continues to give instructions. “Patuloy po siyang nagbibigay ng guidance sa chief of staff at kay Secretary. So may telepono naman po tayo. May mga secured facilities naman po tayo na kung saan maaari niyang matawagan at makausap ang ating mga senior leaders.”



Brig. Gen. Padilla also said that Pres. Duterte receives an update specially the situations in Marawi. There have been 225 rebels killed in Marawi while 59 soldiers were killed on the anti terrorist operations in Marawi.

During the 119th Independence Day Flag Raising ceremony, the president was out and speculations over his health circulated in news and social media. On the other hand, the president just laid his head to take a break from stressful actions, supported with photos released by Sec. Bong Go.

Also, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella refutes the rumor that a cabinet meeting was calledand some parties assumed that president was ailing. However, Abella confirmed that the president will be meeting with his Cabinet but there is no specific place and date yet.
