Pangilinan was known to be the Food Security Czar under the administration of ex-President Benigno Aquino III.
Netizens, as to their reactions, aren’t so happy with his photo. One FB user commented, “Kahit ano gawin niyo mga LP hindi niyo kami maloloko”. Others laughed at the former senator, while someone posted, “baka isang dipa sakit na likod nyan, wag kami na magsasaka”. They said that they will never fool the farmers. The users aren’t happy with Pangilinan who seems to “symphatize” with the farmers.

Another encouraged Pangilinan to stay all day and wait if he’ll go back to farming again. Most of the users interpreted the photo as show –off (pakitang-tao). They said that only a dumb and unwise will be persuaded by his actions.

But one notable comment is the no one will believe that Kiko is farmer since his family is a family of bourgeois (characteristic of the middle class, typically with reference to its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes).

It seems like no matter what these prominent people do, for publicity, for good shot with masses, for community service etc., as long as they look hypocrite, netizens will bash them.
