Tara, let’s LAKBAI with Baste!
It is not yet the end of an adventurous summer for the Presidential son Sebastian Duterte, as he is a part of an adventure show airing in TV5. LAKBAI, a shortened word for “lakaw ta bai”, a Visayan expression for “lakad na, kaibigan”
The producers of the show said that LAKBAI is not your ordinary adventure tv show program that showcases the usual sights and popular destinations in the country.
Baste’s co –hosts will be some of his closest friends. Atty. Alexis Lumbatan- the one who strikes a funny pose and comical facial expressions in the national tv, named as “Pambansang Photobomber”, Sboi Malicay, Andrei Apostol-whos in charge of taking video clips of their adventure, and the internet sensation Bogart the Explorer.
The TV program will showcase different mesmerizing sceneries in the different provinces of the country.
LAKBAI will have a touch of reality show since the 8 week episode will air the solidarity and friendship, adventures and epic fails of the hosts of the show. In this show, the viewers may also witness the lighter side of the hosts as they explore every corners of our country.
In an exclusive interview, Baste stated that he’s doing the show not for the enticing talent fee but for his passion for travel and adventure. Baste was also asked if he would try acting but the Presidential son said that he’s not very comfy at this very moment.
Baste on working with his ex- Ellen Adarna
Baste is not only known for his skills in surfing, he was also an eye candy to many bachelorette and to prove that, Ellen Adarna fell for his notorious charm. But their romance didn’t last long. It was reported that they broke up earlier this year.
It seems that the ex-couple seem to get along after their break up since Ellen admitted that they have been seeing each other and going out with common friends.
First Episode to air on May 21
The first episode of the program will air on May 21, after PBA on TV5. The viajeros will explore the exquisiteness of Davao, Bukidnon, Surigao del Norte, Surigao Sur, Dumaguete, Siquijor Island Bohol, Ilocos and Mountain Province.
