


The international bodies have been calling on to President Rodrigo Duterte to stop his war against drugs as it allegedly heightens extrajudicial killings in the country. The EU has also given its request for the administration to free imprisoned Senator Leila de Lima despite accounts of her involvement with drug activities.

She emphasized that the country is no longer under colonization.
"We may be the odd person out in our early years being occupied by Spain, America and Japan, but we have moved forward and in ASEAN"s 50th, Ph takes its rightful place," she said.
Tiquia asserted that PH is independent and peacful and like other nations, it stands for neutrality and cooperation.
"Respect us," she said.
"In this day and age, no country can dictate and tell us, or dictate and condemn us, for actions we do for our own sake," she added.
As of writing, threats to withdraw agreements have been given by US and EU following their request.
